DescriptionThe Navy men's tennis team will make its fourth appearance in the NCAA Tournament in as many years Saturday when the Midshipmen play at Virginia in a 1 p.m. match at the Snyder Tennis Center in Charlottesville, Va A link for live statistics from the match will be posted to www.NavySports.com on Friday. The Mids advanced to their fifth NCAA Tournament over the last 12 years by virtue of winning the Patriot League Championship. Navy enters the match against the Cavaliers with a 16-13 record on the season. Virginia garnered the Atlantic Coast Conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament with its victory in the conference tournament. The Cavaliers, who have won four straight ACC crowns, have compiled a 35-1 record this season. Virginia enters the NCAA Tournament as the top-seeded team in the championship for the third consecutive year. Individually, Virginia's squad features six singles players and three doubles teams that have attained national rankings. This is the second year in a row in which the Mids will face the Cavaliers in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. Virginia recorded a 4-0 victory over Navy last season in Charlottesville on its way to reaching the quarterfinal round of the championship. Details
