The Eastern Washington University women's tennis team battled Montana State for the final Big Sky Conference Tournament spot, but ended up dropping the match 4-3 Saturday (April 17) at the BATC Outdoors in Bozeman, Mont.

The Eagles won the doubles point as they picked up victories on the No. 1 and No. 2 courts but only won two out of six singles matches. Kelsey Knight picked up the victory in No. 3 singles as did Ryann Warner on the No. 6 court.

With the loss, the Eagles move to 4-4 in the Big Sky and finish just outside the top four Big Sky Conference Tournament spots. Montana State locked up the fourth and final spot with the win.
