DescriptionBradley Klahn will play for a singles title on Monday at 11 a.m. PT at the 2010 NCAA Men's Tennis Championships.Ranked No. 13 in the country and one of eight No. 9-16 seeds in the postseason draw, Klahn will be opposed by Austen Childs of Louisville, ranked No. 19 in the nation. Klahn reached the championship match after posting a 6-2, 6-2 win over Duke's Henrique Cunha, the nation's No. 2 player and the top overall seed in the singles tournament. Klahn and Cunha have not matched up this year. One year after being ousted in the first round of the same event, Klahn has looked extremely sharp during his run to the championship. The Cardinal sophomore is bidding to become Stanford's first NCAA Singles champion since Alex Kim in 2000. Stanford has produced 13 collegiate singles champions in school history overall and eight since the NCAA adopted its current format in 1977 (1977- Matt Mitchell, 1978- John McEnroe, 1981- Tim Mayotte, 1986- Dan Goldie, 1991- Jared Palmer, 1992- Alex O' Brien, 1998- Bob Bryan and 2000- Alex Kim).
