InnerCity Tennis is a 501c3 non-profit corporation. It owns the Reed Sweatt Family Tennis Center (formerly Nicollet Tennis Center), which is a for-profit business operating tennis courts, tennis lessons, a tennis league program and youth tennis camps.



The purpose of the Reed Sweatt Family Tennis Center is to contribute any excess cash flow from its operations to InnerCity Tennis, the charitable organization. Beyond the fact that Reed Sweatt generates significant additional cash for InnerCity Tennis, it supplies facilities, office and administrative services and some staff to help run ICT's operations. This for-profit subsidiary then makes a major contribution to InnerCity Tennis.
