Tickets for the 2010 Western & Southern Financial Group Masters & Women’s Open will go on sale Monday, March 1 at 9 AM. The annual event, which takes place August 7-22, 2010, is the largest summer tennis tournament in the United States outside of the US Open. Attendance in 2009 totaled more than 225,000 people, setting a record for the 112 year-old event.



This year, players will battle for share of a combined purse worth nearly $5 million. As one of only nine ATP World Tour Masters 1000 events in the world, and a Premier event on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour, the tournament regularly features the world’s best male and female tennis players. The event is also a stop on the Olympus US Open Series, a progression of summer tournaments that offers bonuses to players, culminating at the US Open in New York. Among the playing field last year were Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Kim Clijsters, Andy Roddick, to name a few.

The tournament takes place at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, OH, approximately 20 miles north of Cincinnati. This year marks the unveiling of a new $10 million building dominating the west side of Center Court. The facility will include state-of-the-art player and media areas, along with nearly 800 new spectator seats and six luxury boxes.
