The Collective Sound

The Collective Sound is a non-profit organization that provides youth, ages 12 through 18, with an authentic musical experience in writing, recording, and performing through rock, electronic, and popular music as part of the Summer Music Academy and Creative Labs After School programs.TCS East San Francisco Bay: July 26th through August 15th

Our regular summer session has moved to the East San Francisco Bay area for the summer of 2009. Housing, class, and rehearsal space is being provided by St. Mary's College and this year we have teamed up with Ex'Pression College for Digital Arts to provide state of the art studio facilities for the recording week of camp.

Fees and Scholarships:

Write, Record, film a Music Video, create en EPK, and go on tour with kids from around the world!TCS Summer Music Academy is a three week summer contemporary music camp. Join young artists from around the world to write and record an original song, shoot an epk and music video, and open for headliners as part of the Element Youth Movement CoOp Tour.

Creative Labs After School Programs

Designed as a supplement to traditional music programs and private instruction, TCS Creative Labs give youth a guided opportunity for creativity in todays music industry. Through utilizing guitar, bass, drums, vocals, keyboards, and electronic music, students will work to write songs, record them, and perform live for their friends, family, fellow students, and in support of local area headlining acts. Students will also use today's technology to create electronic press kits and film music videos to be published to the internet.
