Acting Academy 1 Week Program:

From television to film to Shakespeare, campers in the Acting Academy will be taught the basics of acting and encouraged to explore many different genres including classical drama, comedy, and action. During week one, you will work on scenes, monologues, improvisations, character analysis, and theatre games. You will gain confidence while performing in front of an audience and boost your self-esteem as you receive support from your fellow actors! You will also learn techniques taught to the pros, like script reading and auditioning, from the pros themselves. Then showcase your skills, by performing movie scenes, and monologues. If you have ever dreamed at making it on the stage, this is the specialty for you.

2 Week Program:

Reach for your chance to become a star! Audition for and win a starring role in a movie made right here at Pali Studios, written and directed by campers in the Film Institute! You will be get the chance to work in a true-to-life movie production, learning all there is to know about being on set. Practice your lines, shoot your scenes, and get some real experience under your belt. At the end of your two-week session, prepare your award speech and head down the red carpet, because your film will be debuted at the Pali Film Festival attended by hundreds of fellow campers eager to see your talent on the big screen.

Broadcast journalism :

Become the next star reporter, newswriter, director or producer! While running every aspect of Pali News, you and your fellow campers will create and host a broadcast that airs each night at dinner for all of camp and then at 11:00 pm on the worldwide web, keeping parents informed of the happenings at Pali.

In order to do your job right, you will learn to research and write stories, read on camera, and produce on-location segments, as well as skills including camera operation, audio, and lighting. In between breaking news stories, you will get the chance to learn about journalistic ethics, interview techniques, the use of blue screens, in-studio camera work and digital tools used to create the on-screen graphics that highlight network news broadcasts.

Dance academy 1 Week Program:

Shake it like Fergie and dance like Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Shakira, and Rihanna. For both beginners and those with more experience, our professional dance instructors will guide you through the basics of jazz, ballet, hip-hop, tap, free form and contemporary dance, providing each camper with the individualized attention and instruction to bring out their personal best.

Each day, you will fine-tune your skills while bringing MTV videos to life during two 90-minute intensive classes. And don't forget the fun. You are certain to have a great time laughing with old friends and making new ones. By week's end, you will know all the latest moves and have the chance to perform your choreographed dance routine at the Friday night camp showcase.

2 Week Program:

After getting a handle on the fundamentals, it's time to take it to the next level. You will choose your favorite music, choreograph an original dance routine, practice and fine tune it, and ultimately perform to the cheering crowd at the Pali Showcase! To top it all off, campers return home with professional headshots and a dance reel to use in furthering their dance careers!

Rock Star camp 1 Week Program:

Write, record, and produce your very own song or rock out to your own cover version of your favorite song. Work together with other Rock Star campers and our staff of veteran songwriters and professional musicians to live the dream. You will learn the basics of songwriting, improve your singing skills, and practice playing instruments including keyboard, drums, guitar, and bass. Then prepare for the showcase where you'll perform live in front of the entire camp! When you go home, you'll take with you a CD of your very own music to share with family and friends!

2 Week Program:

The two-week program gives you more time for songwriting, instrument instruction and recording so you can really create a hit! During the first several days, channel your inner Rock Star as you sample a variety of classes, including voice, songwriting, producing, drums, guitar, bass, keyboards, recording, and mixing. Then practice your preferred instruments and start writing songs! Continue to improve as you take more advanced, private lessons. Record and analyze demo tapes and practice auditioning for agents. Learn stage skills and the keys to creating a powerful stage presence. Rock Star Camp will teach you what it takes to make it in the industry so you leave Pali ready to be the next rock star! At the culmination of your training, perform live in the ultimate Red Carpet Event – the Pali Showcase – where the entire camp listens to you as the next music sensation! If that isn't enough, all Rock Star campers who stay for week two will go home with their very own CD demo recording to share with friends and family
