DescriptionAliza Gazek is excited to serve as your NFTY President this year! A Californian through and through, she lived in LA till the ripe age of five, has inhabited Santa Cruz in Northern California ever since, and is now attending Stanford University--also in Northern California! Previously, Aliza enjoyed a year as the President of NFTY Central West Region and two years as the Social Action Vice President of SRFY at Temple Beth El in Aptos. Aliza appreciates all of her humorous and loving family members as well her extended family in NFTY. She loves taking photographs in the sunshine, playing in grass when there's no fear of ticks, and cooking up creations in the kitchen. Aliza has spent three fantastic summers at Kutz, one semester nestled in the beautiful Judean Hills on EIE, and one fun summer in Vancouver for the JCC Maccabi Games. She looks forward to returning to Canada this year to see you at the URJ Biennial in Toronto and hopes that you'll be in touch about anything and everything throughout the year! David Bloom, a Louisville native, is a senior Honor Student at The Louisville Collegiate School. His special areas of study are language including French, Mandarin Chinese, and Hebrew. David enjoys playing tennis and chess, but his passion is for Shaolin Kempo Kung Fu. He is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and teaches 5 days a week. He has a true love for Judaism. A Bar Mitzvah and Confirmand of Temple Shalom, in Louisville, David is frequently asked to chant Torah for the congregation. He is RCVP of SHORTY and has attended Kutz Camp for 2 years. This past year he also attended GUCI’s NFTY Leadership Institute. Throughout high school, David has attended numerous NFTY events including Convention and Biennial. A zealous Zionist, David travelled to Israel many times. He aspires to become a rabbi.
Committed to social justice and ever the 'politico' Megan Elsayed is a senior at Juanita High School where she loves AP Government and writes for the school newspaper. She also loves language and studies French, Spanish, and Hebrew and aspires to benefit the international community with her work. On sundays Megan works with the 6th grade class at Congregation Kol Ami where she was president of Kol Ami Temple Youth (KATY) for two years. Megan's work with KATY led her the past two years as Social Action Vice President of the Northwest Region and Kutz Camp where she has spent her past two summers. Molly Goldberg is a senior at Westside High School in Omaha, NE. She served as Programming Vice President of Omaha Temple Youth Group (OTYG) in 2007-2008. She is currently the Missouri Valley Regional Social Action Vice President. Molly has participated in the RAC's L'Taken, NCCJ's IncluCity, and the URJ's leadership track at Kutz in Warwick, NY. Molly enjoys singing and interpretive dancing. Details
