Thousands of Girl Scouts in Northern New Jersey are out and about in the community, honing their customer service and money management skills as they earn proceeds and reach their cookie goals!

This year’s cookie sale program theme is Inspired by U!, encouraging them to discover what matters most to them, connect with their community in a meaningful way, and take action through the cookie sale to make the world a better place.

Each cookie purchase is more than just a box of cookies—it’s an investment in your local Girl Scout and community. Cookie proceeds help fund community service and leadership projects, council-sponsored programs and outdoor facilities, and troop activities and trips that help develop girls’ skills and interests.

The 2010 Girl Scout Cookie Sale Program initial order taking will take place through January 31. But girls can continue selling after this date to further support their activities and reach their goals.

Little Brownie Bakers is the official cookie baker for Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey. This year’s newest cookie is called Thank U Berry Munch, and contains dried cranberries and white chocolate fudge chips. Of course, the traditional favorites are available as well—Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-Si-Dos, Trefoils, Dulce de Leches, and Lemon Chalet Cremes.
