Camp of Champions USA (COCUSA) began in 1995. The founders of the camp believed it was important for children and families in Central Illinois to hear the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Their plan was to start a Christian summer day camp for grade-school children.

In the summer of 1995, Camp began with 25 kids per week at one location. Today, Camp of Champions operates six locations, serving over 350 children each week. Our mission, however, remains the same as the first summer: "To win children and their families to Christ, to guide them in experiences and habits that will develop a maturity of faith in Christ, and to give staff and volunteers the opportunity to serve and develop their leadership abilities and spiritual gifts."

• 1996- Peoria Camp started


• 1998- Pekin Property purchased


• 1999- First Full-Time Staff hired


• 2001- East Peoria Camp started


• 2002- Second Full-Time Staff hired


• 2004- Eureka Camp started, Third Full-Time Staff hired


• 2008- 2nd Peoria Camp started, Fourth Full-Time Staff hired


• 2009- Morton Camp started, New Pekin Facility completed
