DescriptionAt Sacajawea Day Camp in Farmingdale, campers make life-long friends in a nurturing environment overseen by an energetic, well-trained staff. The camp program strengthens camper's self-confidence, social development, skills and abilities in a fun, exciting environment. Swimming and other creative activities are the core of the camp program, resulting in a memorable summer for each camper. Throughout this week girls will complete the Interest Project Patch, Horse Sense. The girls will be able to saddle and bridle a horse; they will do this after learning how to identify the different tack and determine its best use. Girls will master basic horse control and learn the rules of a safe trail ride. Girls will also learn basic horse anatomy and the prevention and treatment of common horse ailments.
