Description
Welcome to Camp Pemigewassett (Pemi for short). The camp season runs for seven weeks, from late June through mid-August, with 168 boys enrolled at any one time. We offer a full season session and two sessions of three and a half weeks each, with boys and staff coming together each summer from at least twenty-five states and several countries.
Pemigewassett is located in the heart of New Hampshire's lakes region, on the southwestern border of the White Mountain National Forest. The camp's 600 acres surround mile-long Lower Baker Pond, affording almost total privacy. Most of the camp property is wooded, and there are 20 acres of grassy fields where the cabins and athletic facilities are located.
The camp is situated on NH Route 25A, 4 miles west of the village of Wentworth, New Hampshire, and 12 miles east of Fairlee, Vermont. The Appalachian Trail, which runs from Georgia to Maine, cuts through a corner of the camp property on the way from Georgia to the well-known peaks of the Presidential Range in the White Mountains and beyond.
