Welcome to Roughing It Day Camp!  Since 1972, we have been creating summer memories that remain in the hearts of our campers, influencing their values into adulthood.  Take a look at the distinguishing features of Roughing It and find out why we were voted "Best in the Bay."Our campers experience a wide variety of outdoor activities designed to develop the whole child and build life skills.  We offer outdoor activities children rarely get to do anywhere else with skill based instruction by age and ability levels.Our campers spend the entire session with the same small group of friends and counselors.  This consistency allows campers to form strong bonds of friendship, trust, teamwork and loyalty that are a part of the "Roughing It Spirit" & our Community of Respect.We know it takes time for children to master new skills and build strong friendships with their group and counselors.  We see campers make significant growth the longer they are at camp: lasting friendships are made, self-confidence grows, new skills are achieved, and they really feel part of our camp community.
