DescriptionRuth A. Brown, a gifted educator, founded Four Winds for girls in 1927 and Westward Ho for boys in 1932. Miss Brown ran the camp successfully for many years and in 1967 deeded the land, facilities and equipment to Four Winds, Inc., a non-profit foundation goverened by a board of trustees. Tradition is important in our camp, and we find that the stability that arises from our tradition are a touch-stone for campers and staff. Much of that tradition is held in our core values of community. simplicity, and creativity. These have always been important to the way we do things here. There are some traditions that stand out as critical elements of the Four Winds* Westward Ho experience. Details
