The Harker Summer Swim School provides both adults and children the opportunity to learn, refine and extend their swimming ability in a noncompetitive environment full of positive reinforcement and encouragement. Our fabulous facility and friendly staff make our Swim School a comfortable and safe place for swimmers of all levels and their families.

Swim Lessons consist of ten different levels, designed to help swimmers develop their swimming ability in a logical sequence. Half-hour lessons scheduled consecutively (Monday-Thursday) give swimmers the opportunity to build skills and immediately practice those skills. Our caring instructors are trained to motivate and encourage learners using a variety of methods designed to build confidence along with swimming technique. Private, semi-private and group swim lessons are offered to children aged between 5-18 years old. Adults and preschoolers (3-4 year olds) have the opportunity to participate in private lessons.

Swim Camp is designed for those who love to swim and are interested in refining and mastering more aquatics skills. This two-week program focuses on physical fitness and conditioning, stroke development and refinement, and developing survival skills through the American Red Cross Guard Start training program. Campers will spend time in the classroom learning about physiology, First Aid, CPR and stroke mechanics, they will work on the field developing their core strength and endurance, and of course spend time in the water practicing and developing both their stroke and survival skills. In addition to swim techniques our young guards will gain the knowledge, confidence and skills necessary to properly prepare themselves for an aquatic emergency. Campers will also be taught ways to help prevent accidents in an aquatic environment, to be physically capable to understand basic emergency procedures. They will learn about the roles and responsibilities of a professional lifeguard, and how to effectively guide others. Our trained instructors guide swim campers during their training to help develop an appreciation for their own fitness and their boost their personal interest in aquatics.
