The Nike Swim Camp in Wisconsin returns to the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh this summer. Located only 20 minutes south of Appleton, instruction takes place each day in the highly regarded UWO Aquatic Center.
Directing the camp is Jon Wilson, the new head swim coach at the University of Wisonsin, Oshkosh. Prior to UWO, Jon was the head coach at Northern Michigan University from 2003-2007 and Ripon College from 1997-2003. Coach Wilson was also a key staff member under Kurt Kirner at the Lawrence University Nike Swim Camp.
New in 2010 - Advanced Stroke Technique Sessions
These sessions are designed for the high school age swimmer. Limited to 15 campers per week (5:1 camper to instructor ratio), this program is ideal for giving both club and high school age swimmers a jump start on the upcoming season. Swimmers should look at this as a pre-season training camp. It will focus primarily on conditioning both in and out of the pool with special attention given to starts and turns. Campers will leave camp with a head start on the competition, recharged and fired up for a great season!
