Alpengirls are girls with a sincere desire to experience what it is like to be an "Adventuress of the Wilderness". Our girls adventure camps are most appealing to girls who want to try a low-pressure adventure camp for the first time away from home. Alpengirls come from all over the world with different outdoor experiences and fitness levels. Alpengirls feel accomplished in the challenges of being away from home, outdoor tent living, and reaching 9,000 ft. peak summits. Alpengirls make many new friends and have increased endurance levels and positive self-esteem. Alpengirls are inspired!

Alpengirl is unique in bridging the gap between close-to-home residential kids summer camps and challenge-based co-ed travel camps for older teens.

Adventure is our main objective and fitness is an integral part of our adventures. Our program goal is to realize the positive lifetime effects of good eating, exercise, wilderness, and friendship. Morning yoga, lots of really good wholesome food, daily adventure sports, 9:15 p.m. group entertainment, Leave No Trace wilderness living, outdoor education, and leadership development are methods of meeting our program goal. We operate in a way that is comfortable for teen girls. Our focus is on ENJOYMENT of each activity in order to promote a lifetime of adventure in each camper. Activities are introduced at a beginner level with capacity for additional challenges and increased fitness. Self-reliance, initiative, group cohesion, and positivism are daily objectives.

Alpengirl is not a "troubled teen camp", "boot camp", nor "fat camp".
