The Mission of  Riverwoods Christian Center is to glorify Jesus Christ.  Together with Him we partner with families from low income communities of the Fox River Valley.  Riverwoods strives to be used by God to draw people into a personal relationship with Jesus and transform them in Him.  We endeavor to glorify, model, and serve Christ by sharing His holistic Gospel.

Riverwoods affirms the intrinsic dignity, worth, and potential of every individual.  It is our hope to empower individuals to gain independence from the cycle of poverty and other harmful dependencies.

The Riverwoods team is committed to building synergy.  Our team consists of families from low income communities, board members, staff, donors, volunteers, church congregations, vendors, and members of professional associations.  Together we strive to build godly relationships based on humility, trust, integrity, mutual respect, constructive confrontation, forgiveness and reconciliation.  Believing in the best of one another, we affirm personal strengths and complement each other?s weaknesses.  the team highly values professionalism as defined by clear communication, creating positive first impressions, wise and frugal use of resources, personal time management, and respecting property.  Our desire is to develop team members to their fullest potential personally and in ministry.
