Description

Founded in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low, Girl Scouts has grown from a small group of 18 girls meeting together in Savannah, Georgia to the national organization it is today, serving more than 4 million girls and adults in the United States and in 90 countries throughout the world!

Seeking to serve Every Girl, Everywhere, Girl Scouting is committed to diversity and inclusiveness. Every opportunity in Girl Scouting helps girls grow in self-confidence, discover their genuine selves, connect with the people and community around them, and take action to make a difference in the world.

Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington serves nearly 30,000 members throughout Oregon, and Clark and Skamania Counties in Washington. Our council prides itself on offering a diverse range of programs, aimed at welcoming and encouraging participation by girls with varying interests, ethnic and language backgrounds or life challenges. Financial assistance is available.

We invite you to take some time to explore our Web site and learn more about all that our council has to offer the girls and adults in our community. Should you have questions we are always eager to assist you! Visit our contact page for more information.
