Description

Claremont McKenna College (CMC) has been the perfect location for Nike Tennis Camps for the past five years. Located 30 miles east of Los Angeles, Claremont is best known for its tree-lined streets, historic buildings and college campuses. The camps will be held at the new Biszantz Family Tennis Center which features 12 plexipave hard courts. We will offer two full weeks of day and extended day camp and one weekend of intensive tournament training. (Note, there are no overnight sessions, except the Tournament Training weekend.)

Day Camp Program: Following the success of last year, the camp will offer a one-week special half-day program for younger kids (aged 6-10) who want to learn the fundamentals of the sport. Coaches will focus on developing proper technique using age-appropriate equipment in an environment which emphasizes learning new skills and having fun. This session will run from 9-12 noon. There will also be a general skills day camp program for campers 8-18 which will start at 9 and run until 4pm each day. Extended day camp runs until 6pm.

Day campers should bring their own lunch.

Tournament Training program: This year we will run two weekends of our very popular overnight tournament training weekend. The tournament training program is geared towards tournament level and ranked players. This intense, challenging weekend is a great opportunity for junior tournament players to train like a top college team, with particular emphasis on match play strategy, mental toughness, and fitness. It will be offered June 18-20 and June 25-27.
