Charitable efforts include hosting children from various non-profit organizations at camp including Star of Hope Transitional Living Center, Boys and Girls Clubs of Houston, and the Salvation Army
Highlights on the travel circuit have been high school teams visiting and playing at various college campuses such as LSU, Tulane University, University of Southwestern Louisiana (Lafayette), University of New Orleans, University of South Alabama, and Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama
Graduated from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama where he set National Records for most Stolen Bases in a single game (7), and most doubles in a single game (4). He also set the Conference Records for Stolen Bases in a Season as a Junior with 37 in 39 attempts, breaking his own record as a Senior with 42 in 45 attempts. He also earned All-Conference Honors as a Center Fielder both his Junior and Senior years. His degree is in Theology.
