Camp New Hope, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded by families of people who have developmental disabilities, and running some of the best recreational programs available for special needs.

So your child is going to camp for the first time? Camp New Hope has been the very first camp experience for hundreds- and hundreds- of campers. We have low staff turnover and a high staff to camper ratio. You will recognize staff year after year at Camp New Hope, and we’ll recognize you! We have been right here on the shore of Lake Mattoon since 1974, and we love what we do.

We serve people who have developmental disabilities-- of all ages. Our youngest overnight campers are nine years old. We schedule everyone to attend during a week with people of the same age group, and we welcome campers of all ages. We have a special page on this website just for new campers and people who have never been to camp before.
