DescriptionThe JCC is an amazing place for families to learn, play, and grow together. We work to create a vibrant Jewish community by building relationships and mutual experiences for the children and families who participate in our programs. Jewish holidays come alive through a variety of stimulating and enriching hands-on family-oriented workshops, festivals and classes. We invite families to grow and be a part of our community. We offer flexible session and program options that appeal to every family. Our session options include two 2-week sessions and one 3-week session. All general program campers enjoy the pool twice daily with instructional and supervised free swim. Younger campers have enhanced programming and older campers had exciting choices. Camp Director Fara Gold is a camper at heart. For the past 10 years, her professional camp background includes Travel Camp Director at the JCC in Orlando, Florida; Associate Director at B’nai B’rith Perlman Camp; and Program Director at Capital Camps. Fara has spent the last 10 years in the Greater Washington Area focusing on informal Jewish education, working on program design and professional development. Fara’s degree in Human Resource Training and Development has guided her in creating training workshops for the Walt Disney World Company, as well as youth group and camp staff orientations and continuing education. Since 2007, Fara has lead the Youth and Teen Department of the JCC of Greater Washington. Details
