DescriptionJoin Tracy Aviary for an Avian Adventure during our week-long summer camps for children going into Kindergarten through 4th grade. Each camp has a different theme, but all are packed full of bird-related crafts, projects and games. Campers will spend three hours each day learning and experiencing lots of nose-to-beak encounters with Tracy Aviary's feathered friends during flighted bird shows, keeper talks and special bird feedings! Each day your child will experience the world from a "bird's eye view" as they discover how birds use each of their five senses. Campers will hear what birds hear, see what birds see and even feel a bird land right on their hand! They will feel the wind beneath their very own bird wings as they embark on this sensory adventure with story time, games and crafts. Join us for a week examining flying things natural and manmade-airplanes, insects, balloons, rockets, kites and, of course, birds! Campers will spend mornings at Tracy Aviary exploring the exciting world of birds- beaks, feet, feathers, flight patterns and all. Then they will spend afternoons investigating forces of aerodynamics, rocket design and buoyancy through hands-on activities at the Utah Museum of Natural History (UMNH). This camp will begin at Tracy Aviary and end at UMNH. Transportation between sites is provided. Details
