DescriptionThis summer Camp Huronda will proudly celebrate its 40th Anniversary on Lake Waseosa! Owned and operated by the Canadian Diabetes Association, Camp Huronda lies on a beautifully wooded peninsula on Lake Waseosa near Huntsville. This superb 110-acre setting offers permanent camp facilities for children with type 1 diabetes through carefully planned day and evening programs that provide your child with a summer of adventure, fun, activities, new skills, and health care. The camp offers four two-week sessions in July and August for 8–15 year olds, as well as two one-week sessions for 8–10 year olds in August. For the sixth summer, Huronda will also host a four-day Family Camp at the end of August. Camp Huronda will once again offer a Junior Counsellor program (this assimilates our past counsellor-in-training program) for 16 year olds. Campers stay in comfortable wood cabins with a live-in counsellor. The camp has a large recreation hall, a modern kitchen, a craft centre, health care facilities, a multi-purpose waterfront, washroom and shower facilities, and a large dining hall. Details
