DescriptionThe University of Vermont Campus Recreation Program and staff is committed to making student participation in recreational activities an essential component of their UVM experience. By providing outstanding leadership, programming, and facilities, we meet the diverse recreation needs of the student body. Our efforts are focused on activities that create positive social interaction and promote healthy lifestyles among students, faculty, and staff. The University of Vermont Campus Recreation Program is built upon a foundation of programming excellence in intramurals, fitness programs, informal recreation, instructional programs, youth and community programs, and club sports. The provision of outstanding facilities, along with the efforts of highly qualified and enthusiastic professional staff ensures the highest student participation rate among all colleges in the Northeast. Reflective of our commitment to the educational mission of the University, a highly selective program for graduate and undergraduate assistants/interns provides exceptional educational and career opportunities for UVM and visiting students. Technological utilization and innovation enables the Campus Recreation program to take full advantage of its human, physical, and financial resources, and to be fully connected with students, faculty, and staff. While decision-making is framed within a commitment to service and programming excellence, fiscal responsibility and entrepreneurship serve as the pilots of program growth and development and enables the Campus Recreation program to maintain its profile as on the of the best programs in the country.
