Rock Lake Christian Assembly began in 1919 with a two week "School of Methods." This meeting was geared toward equipping preachers and teachers to serve better in their local churches. Youth programming was introduced in 1934. From that point forward there has been a gradual shift toward youth programming.

RLCA works in a partnership with Churches of Christ/Christian Churches in the central Michigan area. Together we are helping to equip and train people of all ages for service in The Kingdom. This past year (2007) some 551 young people attended one of 21 youth sessions. Many of those young people made a personal commitment to Jesus as Lord and Savior. Many others returned home strengthened in their faith. Still others left with a desire to participate in some sort of full time Christian ministry.

Rock Lake Christian Assembly is a 501.3 (C) corporation registered in the State of Michigan. We are inspected annually by the State of Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services Bureau of Regulatory Services. We are not members of, but do participate in training offered by, Christian Camp and Conference Association (CCCA), and Christian Camping Leadership (CCL).

This ministry is overseen by a board of nine trustees who are selected by Representatives of supporting churches at our Annual Meeting in October.
