Camp Helen Brachman employs a mature staff chosen for their leadership skills and their concern for the health, safety, and overall well-being of our campers. With a counselor to camper ratio of 1 to 3, our camp provides excellent supervision and a secure environment that nurtures learning and growth.
Camp Helen Brachman ensures the highest quality of programming through accreditation by the American Camp Association, licensing and inspection by the Health Department, a food service which exceeds USDA standards, and, most importantly, by listening to the suggestions of our campers and their parents.
A unique experience for a select few 16 - 17 year old past campers is designed to groom future camp staff as well as enhance their leadership abilities and confidence. This special group will have responsibilities similar to a staff member, but with more time devoted to team building, leadership training, camping skill development, and all phases of summer camp operation, and they will be working directly with a senior staff member in a mentoring situation. They will also help with work in the kitchen, camp maintenance, the administrative office, program areas, and with the counselors and kids.
