Description

Beginner and novice skiers enjoy our gentle learning slopes, while more advanced skiers navigate the traditional trails, winding through scenic splendor. Experts head for the summit where views of Mount Washington are as thrilling as the chute down Upper Maple Slalom.

Friendly people are at the heart of Black Mountain and we are proud to offer our guests 75 years of rich skiing history. As a family owned and operated resort, family has remained our focus and our terrain and personnel ensure a safe environment for parents and children alike. Our ski schools and race programs are among the best in the business and as children build their confidence on the slopes, mom and dad can enjoy time of their own, knowing their little ones are well supervised and cared for. While visiting Black take a moment to stop by and meet our ski school staff. There's no better time than the present to improve your skills. Just as you tune-up your skis, you should tune-up your technique, no matter how accomplished a skier or rider you become.

The Black Mountain Rental Shop is fully equipped with quality, well maintained and affordable equipment and our Ski Shop offers everything from helmets and goggles to lip balm and art work.

The festivities never end with special events and activities throughout the season and we encourage all of our skiers to take part in the fun! For more information check out our calendar of events page.

Black Mountain is part of a special magic that begins the moment you cross the red covered bridge and enter the picture-perfect New England village of Jackson. The charming little town is home to historic inns, cozy restaurants great local music and unique shops. Festivals occupy the village green throughout the year and horse drawn sleighs pass through almost as regularly as automobiles. It is almost as if you have stepped back in time to a simpler, more peaceful world, and, once you have arrived, you will never want to leave.
