Description

Located in gorgeous Tuscany, Florence is one of the most vibrant, vital cities in all of Italy, if not all of Europe! Your stay in Florence puts you in the midst of a legendary landscape renowned for creative accomplishment and architectural triumph. You’ll explore a timeless city that has been home to history’s greatest artists, including Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. Today, Florence has become the embodiment of modern Italian style and sophistication.

Fabulous Florence – A City Like No Other!

With hundreds of famous museums, galleries, cathedrals and more, Florence remains the spiritual capital of the Renaissance. But don’t think Florence is stuck in the past. Today, its quaint squares buzz with Vespas, shoppers stroll the piazzas in search of the latest styles, and countless trattorias are alive with conversation and amazing cuisine. This has made Florence the living heart of the Tuscan lifestyle.

Your Landmark Accommodations!

Unlike ordinary international pre-college programs, ACA’s experience in Florence is not a homestay! Instead, it’s a residence program, accommodating students at the Hotel Albergo Firenze. Yes, it’s a spectacular 14th-century building located adjacent to the renowned Piazza Republica, but it has 21st-century style, featuring in-suite bathrooms, televisions, telephones, housekeeping and air conditioning. And, being in the center of the city means famous attractions are right outside your front door. Of course, ACA’s staff lives on-site, ensuring a safe, comfortable stay.

A Scholarly Tradition That’s Centuries Old!

You’ll study at the highly respected Istituto Europeo, an acclaimed international institution with state-of-the-art facilities. It hosts inspiring classes in Italian language and culture, art history, and even international business. If you have artistic urges, catch the spirit of Michelangelo or da Vinci, and try the studio drawing, painting, photography and sculpture courses!

Sights, Shops and Plenty of Cuisine!

Stroll the shop-lined Ponte Vecchio, marvel at a seemingly endless variety of galleries full of acclaimed art, watch the boats drift down the Arno, then stop in a city square to sip a cappuccino or enjoy a gelato. After you’ve worked up an appetite, try one of the countless trattorias for an amazing meal that’s way beyond spaghetti and meatballs.

Every weekend, you’ll visit great cities throughout Italy. Our amazing destinations include:

Rome, Venice, Siena, Forte dei Marmi, Pisa, San Gimignano, Viareggio

The Amalfi Coast & Capri Excursion

(supplemental tuition required)

Take a charter coach from Florence and spend two nights and three days in this sun-drenched coastal region, home to Positano, Sorrento, Capri and Pompeii.
