Luther Village was established in residential Arlington Heights in 1990. It has the distinction of being the first full-equity ownership retirement community in the Midwest. All Luther Village residents own their homes through cooperative ownership and enjoy all the financial advantages that go along with it.

Luther Village is also known for its affiliation with the Lutheran Home, a renowned senior care facility located just next door. While Luther Village is an independent living community, most of our homeowners consider ready access to health care an invaluable benefit.

Luther Village is designed to provide active seniors with services and amenities that increase, rather than limit, their freedom. Personal services such as laundry, housekeeping and dining are optional.
