Description

Wildwood Ranch is a part of the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries.  We are located on 240 beautiful wooded acres approximately one hour from metro Detroit and less than an hour from Lansing, Ann Arbor and Flint. With age appropriate camps, we serve children ages nine through fifteen. We also have leadership camps and adventure camps for youth ages fourteen to seventeen. Our staff and diverse programs allow children to experience the joys of being a part of God's family.

Come join the adventure at Wildwood Ranch this year! There will be splashing and frolicking in the lake, the kitchen will sizzle with great cuisine, the archery bows will be pointed (somewhat) at the bull's-eyes, the ropes course will present new challenges to overcome, the nature center will house all sorts of wildlife that are native to mid-Michigan, chapel time will have exciting skits, enthusiastic speakers and upbeat songs, the arts and crafts shop will hold treasures to be taken home to a proud parent at week's end, the paddle boats and canoes will glide through the twenty acre lake, the climbing wall will help develop new skills and self esteem, the fish will unsuccessfully attempt to avoid the skillful fisherman and there will be new friends everywhere you turn!

Wildwood Ranch Camps is a multi-faceted youth development organization that is owned and operated by the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries. Our primary goal is to expose the children and youth that we serve to opportunities and experiences that will enhance their lives, broaden their horizons and expand future opportunities. During the summer months we offer summer residential camps, adventure camps, day camps and equestrian camps. Our programs are designed to give inner-city children and youth opportunities and activities that they may not have access to in an urban setting. Wildwood serves over 1,200 young people each summer - mostly from economically disadvantaged homes. Over 90% of our resident campers come to camp through scholarships.

Winter, Fall, and Spring are also exciting with activities such as Outdoor Education School for both private and public schools, youth, adult and family retreat and rental options, horseback riding lessons, a team building low ropes course and an exciting high ropes course! During the school year, our Youth Challenge Course brings 200 adolescent youth to our resident facilities on weekends and provides an eight week experience of high energy activities and character-building lessons.

Wildwood Ranch is located on 240 acres of potential - just waiting for your next getaway. Located centrally between Detroit, Lansing, Ann Arbor and Flint, we are convenient and a great choice for all your needs!

Wildwood Ranch has facilities available for rent to organizations for weekend retreats or week long camps. The primary groups that utilize our facilities are church youth groups, church board planning sessions, leadership training seminars, outdoor education programs, band camps and college fellowship groups. Wildwood is open year-round, but from Memorial Day through the second week of August we limit rentals to weekends only.

Wildwood Ranch is situated on over 240 wooded acres that feature two private lakes, natural wetlands and beautiful nature trails. The facilities described below will accommodate up to 178 campers.
