Nestled beneath tall pine trees, Camp Gold Hollow is located 2 1/2 miles from the historic gold mining town of Nevada City at Lake Vera. Camp Gold Hollow is owned an operated by Camp Fire USA, Golden Empire Council and has been providing resident camp for boys and girls for 78 years.

Camp Gold Hollow's resident camp provides an outdoor adventure for both the seasoned and first time camper. Our programs foster independence, sound decision making and self-reliance, while creating friendships that will last a lifetime. We are committed to providing a high quality experience for your child in an environment of positive self-esteem and respect for the individual.

Camp Gold Hollow has an excellent safety record. We receive annual inspections and camp health and safety is stressed in our staff training. All water related activities are overseen by certified lifeguards and a trained medical supervisor is a regular member of the camp staff. All staff are trained in first aide and emergency procedures. A doctor is on call throughout the summer and emergency medical care is only five miles away. In the event of illness or injury, parents will be immediately notified.
