Description

Our spring-fed, 1/2 acre lake is only stocked with rainbow trout. We try not to stock anything under 9 inches, and some trout caught have been up to 20 inches. The average catch, which is approximately 11 inches, can weigh more than a pound. These trout are pampered by us until they are caught by you. They promise to be good eating, especially when you use one of the recipes that we will give you.

This is the perfect spot to bring the kids fishing, they are guaranteed to go home with at least one catch. They will absolutely love it. How many times have you taken them fishing, only to have them run out of patience before the fish start biting? Here that won't happen! Our staff can demonstrate techniques that will have the fish striking instantly. So even beginner fishermen and fisherwomen can have a lot of fun.

To reduce the risk of contamination, no outside equipment is allowed for fishing, and no food or alcoholic beverage is allowed in the fishing area. We furnish the rods and bait. Nets are provided because some of the fish are heavy enough (good eating) that they cannot support their entire weight with their mouth. We also provide a bucket of water to store them in, while you continue to fish. After you have finished fishing, we clean them so that they are ready to cook.

This beautiful pond is the home to about 100 ducks year round, with many more migrating in for the winter months. Condo's have been placed in the middle of the pond for the ducks to nest. In late spring or early summer, you can watch them teaching their babies to fly. This is very entertaining for children and adults, alike. There is also a large collection of pond omni (these are very large goldfish) that congregate near the edges of the pond and under the boat ramp. On the boat ramp, are feeders where you can get food for the ducks and fish. If you are lucky, you might get to see one of the many channel catfish that stay near the bottom of the lake.
