Each CIT is trained under the supervision of the CIT Coordinator and/or Senior Program Director. CITs are assigned to a younger cottage and join the staff team of its two counselors. CITs live with this cottage and serve as an inspiration and role model for the campers. Each CIT is given various assignments to assist in the management of the cottage and the well being of the campers. At no time are CITs left to supervise the campers alone. Each CIT will begin an activity rotation during one-half of the day to learn from the activity staff about the various camp programs. Each CIT assists in teaching beginners at these activities. The other half of the day provides time for the CIT to work on individual achievements and to learn from the various leadership sessions.
