The Kentucky Lions Youth Camp for vision impaired children began in 1982. The camp is made possible by donations to Lions Camp Crescendo by Lions, Lioness and Leo clubs throughout the state of Kentucky and those individuals who donate their time to serve as camp staff.



Camp Heart to Heart was formed in 1999 for children living with HIV/AIDS and was dedicated in honor and memory of Lion Tom Welker, PDG.



Camp Heart to Heart is a collaboration between Lions Camp Crescendo, Inc., and other Louisville HIV/AIDS service organizations (KALA, House of Ruth, AIM of Kentuckiana, etc.).

To provide a memorable camping experience for these children in a safe and secure environment

while providing a week of respite for the care givers.



Camp Goal

To provide a camp experience that will last a lifetime and to provide activities to help the children build confidence, learn about teamwork, anger management, and trusting/sharing with others.



Camp Freedom was formed in 2006 by Lions Camp Crescendo and Kentucky Foster Care Agencies.  The camp is made possible with foundation grants and donations from individuals, clubs, and companies.
