Camp Alta is a Christian camp and retreat center, located on the western slope of the Sierra Mountains of Northern California, in the small town of Alta. A favorite spot for summer camps, Camp Alta is also a great location for winter retreats because it is open year round with ski resorts nearby. We are only a few miles from Interstate-80 making Camp Alta easily accessible for user groups from Reno, Sacramento, and the Bay Area. Located at 3400 feet above sea level, the camp is nestled among tall cedars and pines in the beauty of God's country.

Camp Alta activities include: hiking, swimming, horseshoes, ping pong, foose ball, basketball, baseball, and football.

Camp Alta has 5 cabins like the Oak Cabin in

this photo. Each cabin can accommodate approximately 6 people; all 5 cabins can accommodate a total of 30 people. Camp Alta does maintain a small RV area. There are 6 established RV campsites, each has full electric and water hookups.
