Here, conference buildings and hotel wings are tucked away beneath stately, moss-covered oaks and within sight of the sparkling waters of Lake Yale. Technologically equipped auditoriums share a campus with hiking trails and vast playing fields. And convenience always rests comfortably in the hands of our guests.

At Lake Yale, we offer a natural and serene setting for religious, corporate, non-profit and other group conferences, youth camps, family reunions or vacations to Central Florida, and special events like banquets, weddings and Family Day picnics. Our comfortable accommodations and amenities, including large and small conference facilities, recreational activities and specialized dining services, appeal to a wide range of groups. And our staff is equipped to help you plan the perfect stay for your meeting or retreat.

In the early 1960's, the Florida Baptist Convention addressed a need for a facility to hold youth camps and adult assemblies to be attended by Baptist groups throughout the state. By 1964, land was purchased and construction of two youth camps was underway. In 1965, the adult facilities were built and the first director, Paul Glore, was named Secretary of Camps and Assemblies. Glore was instrumental in securing a loan of $500,000 for further development of our property. This further development included construction of Maguire Auditorium, S. Oscar Bean Administration Building and two housing units, which expanded Lake Yale Baptist Assembly to accommodate conferences for up to 900 people. From year to year, more people came to study and worship at Lake Yale, which spurred improvements and further additions of facilities and staff.

Now known as Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center, the facility is still managed by the Florida Baptist Convention and provides a central location for Florida Baptist youth camps and assemblies. Today, the campus is open to groups of all ages and creeds, but our mission hasn't changed. Now as ever, Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center strives to provide a comfortable, relaxing, peaceful and spiritual atmosphere in which to work, study or relax.
