DescriptionThis is one of the few places still remote enough to provide a tranquil atmosphere which recalls the more leisurely sporting life of 50 or 100 years ago. Such places must be counted among Maine's treasures.
The Pines is tucked away in the deep Maine woods on Lake Sysladobsis. Our main lodge, the "Norway House" and five guest cabins are attractively strewn amongst the towering pines found along the eight acre peninsula known as Norway Point. The best way to The Pines is off US Route 1 to Grand Lake Stream, and drive along 12 miles of tote road to camp. You can get to US Route 1 either by traveling to Lincoln, Maine via I-95 and continuing on up to Topsfield, picking up Route 1 there. You may also get to Route 1 from Route 9 out of Brewer, Maine.
