Description

Despite the torrential downpours, the wind, and not to mention the thunder and lightening the Campers had a blast!!

In between storms they managed to go on a number of hikes and they even went on a night hike! The Campers made Camp T-shirts, they had talent contests and made the best out of the rain with a slip ‘n slide. Many of the Campers were learning how to fish and swim for the first time and from what I saw on Thursday night they seemed to be very successful!

Week Two of Camp was a short one with the 4th of July Holiday but nonetheless there was lots of fun to be had!

The Campers did a lot of fishing and I am pretty sure some fishing records were set by the stories they were telling me! They also played baseball, kickball, went swimming and of course went out on some nature hikes to check out all the wildlife that Camp Little Hawk has to offer.  The week culminated with a BBQ and a pool party, sounds like fun!

Week Three was another fun-filled week out at Camp Little Hawk. There were many returning Campers showing the new one's the ropes. Despite the heat the Campers found ways to cool off...they held pool relays, swam in the lake and of course we can't forget the slip 'n slide! The seasoned Campers are almost becoming pros at fishing and the new one's are really starting to get the hang of it!

As the summer continues on the Camper's who have been out at Camp have made great friends with Camper's from other Boys & Girls Clubs. This has been such a great experience for everyone out at Camp Little Hawk...they have learned what the "outdoors" are like and to their surprise have liked it more than they thought they would! Team competition has become a major theme out at Camp that everyone enjoys!

This has been a great summer for Camp Little Hawk and for all of the Campers who had the chance to spend a week in the "woods"!
