The educational farm Marichel is the story of a great dream which has long been germinating in the mind of Marielle and Michel Gendreau Martineau. Co-founders of the Youth Environment Group (ISSUE) at the end of 1970, sensitive to the environmental cause and farmers, they dreamed to help restore the link so important between people and land that feeds us, still vital link past but less and less visible to the majority of the population. In 1995, their project is achieved when the educational farm Marichel inc. is born! The legal form chosen their proposed education and awareness is a nonprofit organization, separate from the Farm Marichel GP (Agricultural production).



The Educational farm Marichel is unique in Quebec. It holds its activities at the site of a real farm, where we find a breeding lambs in a flock of 150 sheep, large fields of hay, grain and soybean them certified organic orchard , a large garden, in addition to the forest. Chickens, a cow, a calf, a donkey, rabbits and goats also live on the farm. Buildings clean and well appointed home allows the campers, students, groups and families for over ten years on the farm. In addition, Marichel is accredited by the Association des camps du Quebec (ACQ) and was awarded the Prix Coup de heart of consultants in 2005 for the quality and originality of its entire operation and programming.

he educational farm Marichel offers camps for children 5 to 17 years, with programs like nowhere else! For 3, 5, 10 or 12 nights, come hang out with passionate people, willing to share their wonderful corner of the country with beautiful people like you! Nearly life and full of simplicity, we are waiting for you to live a memorable holiday in the company of nearly 500 animals! A stay at Marichel is also delicious meals cooked with farm products. As the sunsets, they are the dormitories, in a log cabin or a teepee (depending on program) and facilitators always sleep with the campers.
