Alpenglow Adventures is Offering the World's First and Only Hiking Trips for Children and Adults Who Cannot Walk to the Bottom of the Grand Canyon National Park and to the Highest Uhuru Summit on Mount Kilimanjaro in Two of the World's Most Famous National Parks for the Greatest Cause.
Alpenglow Adventures is an Easter Seal 501C3 Not For Profit Organization. All net income from all Alpenglow Adventures trips goes to provide children and adults with disabilities a fun 6-day Special Needs camp during the summertime at Easter Seals Camp KYSOC in Carrollton, Kentucky. Camp KYSOC, was built and opened in 1961 as the world’s first de-centralized camp for children and adults with disabilities. It is a facility of the Kentucky Easter Seals Cardinal Hill Healthcare System (the largest rehabilitative healthcare system provider in Kentucky), one of the best rehabilitative healthcare systems in America. In 2002 and 2003 its Flagship hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, the Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital, was named twice a 50 Best Hospitals in the United States by U. S. News and World Report.
