DescriptionThe mission of The San Francisco SPCA is to save and protect animals, to provide care and treatment, to advocate for their welfare and to enhance the human-animal bond. Founded on April 18, 1868, the San Francisco SPCA was the nation's fourth humane society and the first west of the Mississippi. It has become one of San Francisco's most enduring and respected institutions, as well as a national leader in saving homeless cats and dogs. Everyday, our staff members make a difference because they are part of a legendary organization where they can put their passion to work. In each program and at every level, the people who work at The San Francisco SPCA share the common commitment to saving animals lives. Our core values of compassion, integrity, excellence, innovation and teamwork are reflected in the people we hire and the work we do. Our organization encompasses a broad range of job opportunities across many disciplines including: veterinary care, customer service, animal behavior, fundraising, animal care, marketing, volunteer management, humane education, maintenance, research, teaching, training and community relations.
