CAMP ATTENDEES, STAFF, AND VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS within the seven days prior to arrival at camp should call the camp administration (570-672-2296) before attending. "Flu-like symptoms" are a fever accompanied by a cough or sore throat. There may be additionalsymptoms, such as headache, tiredness, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, chills, diarrhea, and vomiting.
If you have knowingly been exposed to a person with the H1N1 virus or other flu-like illness in the seven days prior to your arrival at camp, but are not ill yourself, you may attend camp. However, you should closely self-monitor your health and report development of any flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, or sore throat) immediately to the camp nurse and administration.
Mountain View will continue to monitor and follow the guidance received from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and other government agenciesregarding these and similar concerns.
Further, Mountain View will continue to maintain its high level of facility cleaning and disinfecting. Campers and staff will be encouraged to follow good cough and hand hygiene etiquette. In addition, camp staff will be instructed to monitor the entire camp population during their stay.
We would request your prayers for the Lord’s protection and good health during these busy summer weeks of camp.
