I really wasn’t sure if camp was the right thing for my daughter and boy I’m glad I gave it a chance. She loved it and really wants to go again next year. I’m sure I’ll still be hearing about her friends, counselors, and activities for many months to come.
Every time our son has come back from camp I feel he has learned a tremendous amount. The nice part is he doesn’t even realize he is learning. I feel he is mentally ready for any challenges when he gets back home.
This being our son's first year at camp, I was thrilled with the way this camp was run. I felt safe leaving him! It was a great experience for him to see so many kids his age with the same issues he faces daily
This was our daughter’s first experience away from home, and she loved it. She had such a good time at camp; she didn’t even write us a letter. And for that and the education she received, we are extremely pleased.
This is the best experience my son has had relating to his diabetes. He realized there are a lot of kids just like him. He gained the confidence he needed to start being responsible for his diabetes.
He had a wonderful time at Camp Setebaid. The ultimate testimony had to be when he told another friend with diabetes, "yes, my Mom made me go the Camp Setebaid. It was fun. Don't think you'll learn anything there about diabetes, it was just a lot of fun with a lot of activities." He wants to go again!
