DescriptionThe Woods at Wihakowi is a year-round place to stay and play, or just relax and enjoy the peaceful woodland surroundings in the heart of Central Vermont's Green Mountains in Northfield, Vermont. The 36 acres surrounding the cottages are filled with hiking trails, meadows, flower gardens, a brook, pond, and and rustic camp cabins to explore. You can also use your cottage as a home base from which you can reach many area attractions in less than one hour's drive. From day trips and nights on the town to cozy, comfortable times just hanging out, you can enjoy a vacation that is just right for you.
Other organizations that followed were the Vermont Congregational Conference in the 1950s-60s, the Life and Light Center in the 1970s, and, most recently, Camp Wihakowi was resurrected as a children's summer camp in the 1990s, focusing on respect for nature, the local wilderness, outdoor survival, Native American traditions, tracking, and especially fun for kids.
