Summer Sessions offers UCSB courses in Querétaro, Mexico during the summer. Students are required to take at least 12 units on this program (12 quarter units is approximately 8 semester units).  The courses will be taught in English by faculty associated to the program. Although courses are exclusively in English, this program students are strongly encouraged to work on their communication skills in Spanish as this will ease your experience.

The city of Querétaro graces the landscape with its majestic baroque buildings and is located 138 miles or approximately three hours northwest of Mexico City. This colonial city with an elevation of about 5,000 feet above sea level is the stage for fun, offering cultural activities, places to dance, Mexican music, and delicious Querétano food.
