YMCA Camp Weona is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). To obtain an ACA accredidation, YMCA Camp Weona has undergone a thorough review of its operation - from staff qualifications and training to emergency management. This is done to ensure the safety of each camper.You'll appreciate our sensitive, experienced,staff and enthusiastic staff. Most of YMCA Camp Weona's counselors have strong backgrounds in education, social work, or recreation. In addition, YMCA Camp Weona has highly qualified and specialized staff for each activity area to ensure the best learning experience for all campers. All staff are trained intensively before camp starts and participate in workshops throughout the summer. Most importantly YMCA Camp Weona's staff understands and values young people and are committed to helping campers develop in positive ways.

The YMCA believes in progressive and age-appropriate camping and this is a great way to see what it is all about.
