Description

Despite the recent rain, terrific progress continues towards a May 2010 opening of the new clubhouse. Upcoming milestones to watch out for—significant regrading and upgrading will take place on Champions Terrace, resulting in temporary closures there. However, the result will be very high-quality road improvements including curb and gutters, and an overall grander entrance to the new facilities. Curb and gutters have also been installed around the building’s parking lots, which will soon be paved to make snowplowing easier during winter construction, as well as to protect the building’s interior during the pre- and post-winter mud seasons. Stucco contractors and roofers will mobilizing soon to put finishing touches on the Country Club exterior, followed immediately by the installation of window and doors.

Construction continues in full stride. Key milestones are being made to guarantee internal construction and finishing will continue through the winter.  The project is ahead of schedule, with the projected opening date still slated for May 2010. If you haven’t driven by to take a look, you should do so when you’re in the neighborhood. The pace of construction is impressive, thanks to the large, hardworking crews.

The subcontractors have been mobilized. The new year-round facility is slated for completion in spring 2010 and will deliver state-of-the-art golf and membership amenities, showcasing environmentally friendly engineering together with alpine-inspired architecture and design. The excavation team will soon bring in the main water line; the concrete contractor will lay out the balance of the sub grade beams and column caps; both the plumbing contractor and electrical contractor will be on site to start the under slab utilities work; the pool contractor will mobilize to start work on the pool. This under slab work will take approximately 4 to 6 weeks. Once complete, the bottom floor slab will be poured. Framing of the ground level is expected to start in mid July.
