Camp Fire has four levels of training beginning with the Kindergarten level all the way through the senior high school. The Wilbarger County Council Camp Fire organization has over eighty adults who volunteer as board members and group leaders.
The basic service unit of The Salvation Army is the corps community center. Service extension programs are available where no established corps community centers exist. These units work with committees of local citizens to identify and meet community needs.
Services range from medical and dental assistance to sending children to summer camp or supplying gasoline, food, and clothing to the needy. The Mission of the Wilbarger County Child Welfare: To support and fund children that are removed from their natural home by the state of Texas in Wilbarger County; to provide for the needs of these children in excess of services provided by the State or foster parents and to educate the community about the severity and extent of child abuse in Wilbarger County.
